All conditions detailed below are subject to change / alteration without any without any prior notice and are only applicable for products / services purchased at any of our stores and not for products purchased at www.gemopticians.com. Errors & Omissions are expected. 

Occasionally there may be information displayed / available in our stores that contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times, availability etc. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the product or service is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

General

All sales are final, we do not offer any exchanges, returns or refunds.

Disputes arising from sales, if any, are subject to New Delhi jurisdiction. 

Job works (lens fitting / alignment / servicing / repairs etc.) undertaken on client's own products are done so entirely at the client's risk. GEM OPTICIANS is not liable to compensate the client in any manner whatsoever for any damage caused to client's own product during the assembling / servicing process.   

Presentation of receipt (sales order / invoice / service request) is mandatory for order collection 

GEM OPTICIANS is not liable to compensate the client in any manner whatsoever for any delays in product / service delivery beyond the originally committed delivery date. 

GEM OPTICIANS has the right to cancel an order due to unavailability of an originally committed product or service or due to its inability to deliver such product or service due to any reason whatsoever. In the event of such cancellation, GEM OPTICIANS shall refund the deposit amount paid by the client via wire transfer. GEM OPTICIANS shall not be liable to compensate the client in any manner whatsoever for such cancellation and its liability shall be limited only to refunding the deposit amount paid by the client for the order. 

Order shall be invalid & deposit forfeited if order is not collected within 90 days of delivery date. 

Store credit issued is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Validity may be extended on GEM OPTICIANS's sole discretion.

GEM OPTICIANS is not liable to compensate the client in any manner whatsoever for any delays in product / service delivery beyond the originally committed delivery date.

Physical Warranty Cards

Physical warranty cards have been discontinued by most brands. If you did not receive a physical warranty card with your product, it most likely does not come along with it. However, please get in touch with us and we would be happy to double check for you

Limited Warranty 

All products come with a  1 year limited manufacturing warranty.

Manufacturing warranty covers the following issues

i. Missing components / parts

ii. Delamination and / or peeling of sun lens coating

iii. Bubbles or imperfections in lens coating

iv. Premature flaking or deterioration of frame coating

If your product encounters any of the above issues within 1 year of purchase (tracked from invoice date), please get in touch with us. GEM OPTICIANS has absolute discretion to ascertain if the issue may qualify as a  manufacturing defect and submit the same to the product manufacturer / authorised representative for final confirmation, on the client's behalf. Final decision to certify the issue as a manufacturing defect rests solely with the manufacturer / authorised representative. 

If the issue is deemed to be a manufacturing defect, GEM OPTICIANS will at its discretion either replace your product or issue you a store credit. Please note, a store credit will be issued for the amount equivalent to the cost of the frame / sunglasses; GEM OPTICIANS is not liable to compensate you for the cost of optical lenses fitted in the frame / sunglasses in any manner whatsoever. Loosening / tightening / misalignment of the product only requires a minor adjustment from time to time and we shall be happy to assist you with the same whenever necessary. The need for the same may arise from time to time due to wear and tear and is in no way indicative of the product quality.   

Kindly note, we will be unable to entertain any requests for exchange or credit if the product has been altered / repaired in any manner by any third party.  

Manufacturing warranty does not cover the following issues

i. Normal wear and tear i.e. scratches

ii. Any damages caused by accident, abuse, neglect, shock, improper use or improper storage of product

iii. Damage caused by chemicals

iv. Damage caused by unauthorised modifications or repair

Optical & Sun Lenses 

Any discrepancy or error in the prescription of the lenses dispensed should be brought to our notice within 7 days of order collection 

All lenses (plastic or glass) are prone to scratches. Lenses even when coated with the best scratch resistant coatings are not scratch proof. 

Polycarbonate lenses are advised for certain kind of frames in which lenses are prone to damage / breakage / chipping. Polycarbonate lenses are break resistant, not unbreakable. However, they carry a 1 year replacement warranty against breakage. None of the other kinds of lens materials unless explicitly specified carry any form of warranty against damage / breakage / chipping.
